Math -- International Fair is fast approaching.  Students make and wear traditional caftans for this event.  Students measured for fabric for their caftans today.  We will begin cutting and pinning caftans on May 10.  Students will need to purchase fabric for their caftan and bring it to school by then.  Please purchase fabric that is at least 45" wide.  Simple cottons are best, and colors and patterns are just fine.  Do not purchase fabrics that are stretchy, sheer, see through, filmy, or likely to be difficult to sew -- no fake fur or leather, etc.

Also -- we can use donations of sewing pins, thread, sewing scissors, and /or pinking shears.  We will also need volunteers on May 17 for the actual sewing of the caftans.  If you have a portable sewing machine, the skills to use it, and time to help us sew caftans, please email me and let me know.
