Weekly Math Computation Practice Assignment

Once each week, beginning on Monday, December 13, all students are required to complete the Math Magic section of the MATH MAGICIAN game. Students should choose "ALL OPERATIONS" option.

When the game is completed, please print the certificate and turn it in on Friday to receive credit for this assignment.

Social Studies -- write a 5 paragraph (8 sentences each) summary of the mural project for the other group in class (boys write about the girls' work and girls write about the boys' work).  Things to consider include:
  1. Main ideas
  2. Important terms
  3. What is the "story?"
  4. Who are the important people/groups?
  5. How does environment/geography play a role?
  6. What is the one thing you want to know about these people?

Tomorrow, most students will be participating in the Young Americans workshops.  Those who are not will be in the classroom.  Mrs. Elfers and I will have a variety of enrichment activities and exercises.  Students who are working on the Young Americans show will be excused from this work.

These assignments are due on Monday:

Science (Daniel's homeroom):  complete the "Why are cells small" activity from p. 38 in your textbook.
Math --Read lesson 8-3, pages 304-306.  Work out each of the three examples with notes and explanations.  Be prepared to discuss and turn in on Monday.
